Bangalore To Manchanbele Dam is a beautiful country side drive. Take Bangalore - Mysore State Highway. Take a deviation after Kengeri towards Right, just after Amruth Distillery(Check out for a white building on right side of road). After taking right, u find Railway Crossing, followed by Deccan Herald Printing Press. Follow the same route, you can visit Big Banyan Tree. Proceed further to reach, u'll find a junction, take the left to reach Manchanbele Dam( this road is not that good). This is a nice 1 day trip out of bangalore.

Road too good upto Big Banyan Tree, Bumpy and rough rest of the trial. Do not venture to swim in the backwaters of the dam its very dangerous. If u r lucky u can find fisherman for a coracle ride.
Savandurga is very close from Manchanballe dam , around 20-25 Km from Manchanballe dam . Ask localites for route . Road is bumpy and not a tar road .

If u start early then while coming back from dam , you can relax at some resorts with swimming pool  , close to BB tree.
